Will it be possible to wear this dress to an evening wedding reception?

How do you think I could dress this up for the evening reception? It is I was thinking maybe a shawl?
It is very cute. I want to wear to a wedding. The problem is that I was only thinking of the ceremony, not the reception.
The ceremony is in the afternoon, outdoors. It is casual, the bride is walking down the aisle barefoot, and their boxer (dog) is the ringbearer. I figured this would work.
Bigger question…do people even really care about wedding fashion etiquette?
If it’s as laid back a ceremony/reception as your describing then this dress would be perfect! I think a shawl would be more than sufficient during the reception. Plus it’s a great dress, really colorful and fun. I think it depends on what wedding your going to weather they really care about fashion etiquette or not. Usually the invitation will say if its a very formal event. May I suggest a shawl of contrasting color like red or even the same purple as the straps would work. But like I said I think the dress would be perfect.
